Lindsay Stokes

Lindsay loves sharing her joy and passion for dance with others. Lindsay has a background in street jazz, contemporary, hip-hop, and latin dance through the Broadway Dance Center in New York City, training with industry professionals: Rhapsody, Sheryl Murakami, Kevin Maher, Ray Leeper, Sheila Barker, Israel Martinez, Courtney French, and others. She performed on MTV’s show “Becoming” and was also a motivational bar mitzvah dancer. She continued her dance career in Los Angeles, dancing in “Liquid Silver Productions,” a salsa hip-hop company. Lindsay recently moved to the Portland area with her husband, 1-year old daughter, and dog after teaching dance for ten years at Streetside Dance Studio in Boulder, Colorado. Lindsay has taught classes in Latin Fusion, Dance Jam, Hip-Hop and Salsa and loved leading her performance troupe; Groovalicious. Lindsay was Dancing with Boulder Star’s 2010 champion and won the Best Instructor Award for her choreography and performance with her Dad in 2013! Currently, Lindsay teaches couples how to dance for their wedding. She has worked with hundreds of couples to create a special first dance for their big day.
