Hello! My name is Stacie Woempner or as Ben calls me "Whomp Whomp." I'm 23, just graduated in May from the University of Saint Francis with a BFA in dance as the first dance major to go through the program! I am currently living back home in Morgantown, Indiana. Working part time at Matt Blevins Dance as an Instructor. Trying to make it as a free lance dancer on the side in Fort Wayne and Indianapolis. Dancing professionally with Phoenix Rising Dance Company, Indianapolis. I met the fabulous Charlotte Tompkins, dancing together in dAnce.Kontemporary a Company in Fort Wayne. Her and I grew close as friends dancing together in DKs company. Over a year ago that's when GROOV3 came into my life. I began taking weekly classes from Charlotte, obsessing over the format, grooves and music. I began dancing at age 3.... And while college was so competitive, some of my passion for dance faded during those four years. I began falling inlove again with dance through GROOV3 and the people I was surrounded by in Fort Wayne. I've always said "I'd rather be a hip hop dancer than a ballerina." Last summer, I decided to take the leap and get certified through the Chicago Training. Best decision I've made. I am ready to learn, grow and continue to make others fall inlove with GROOV3 just as much as I am. It saved me from the stimulation of the negative bubble dance has on the world. Can't wait to meet all of you in the future and walk through this journey together!!
