Dance Sweat Give

DSG, as we call it, is a quarterly fundraiser we've created at GROOV3™ to give back. We team up with different charities/organizations and donate 100% of the proceeds to the cause.

Not everyone in the world has the opportunity to participate in activities such as dance due to certain health limitations. For this reason, DANCE SWEAT GIVE was created.

The mission of DSG is not only to raise funds, but to also bring community awareness to each individual cause. How does DANCE SWEAT GIVE work? Our charity event consists of a one hour GROOV3™ class (a minimum donation is asked at the door) followed by activities such raffles, guest speakers, food, and more.

Your participation in this fundraising event helps contribute to a worthy cause and brighten the lives of others. If you know a charity that would like to take part or would like more information on DANCE SWEAT GIVE, contact G3.

GROOV3 | The Laurel Foundation/Camp Laurel

Camp Laurel Foundation, Inc. is now doing business under the name of The Laurel Foundation. This name change better reflects the many services we offer to children, youth and families affected by HIV and AIDS.

The Laurel Foundation is a registered, non-profit organization founded in 1992 by Margot Andrew-Anderson. Committed to improving the lives of children living with HIV and AIDS, we believe that every child has the right to experience the wonder of childhood. Through our programs we strive to contribute to the development of each child's self esteem, self awareness and self fulfillment.

The Laurel Foundation, accredited by the American Camp Association, uses trained leadership and the resources of the natural surrounding to contribute to each camper's mental, social and spiritual growth. The first camp of our kind in Southern California, Camp Laurel is free to all children across the country ages 6-17.

HIV/AIDS affects people of all ages. Currently there are over 25,000 children in the United States with HIV/AIDS and over 600 recorded children in Los Angeles County alone. AIDS is also the #1 cause of death for African American women ages 25-34. The existence of The Laurel Foundation depends on generous donations from foundations, corporations and private individuals.

The Laurel Foundation is named for the laurel leaf in Greek mythology. Apollo, the god of prophecy, poetry, and healing, covered his temple in Delphi with the laurel leaf, believing that the healing properties of the leaf would cure all those who entered his temple.
